Steve Stanford has told me that he likes to keep his chrome indication very simple without the myriad reflections you might see in some people’s work . . . mine, for instance. He applies that “less is more” theory with his paint reflections, too. Notice that the fin of the ’59 is reflected into the trunk of the concept Cadillac, as is its own fin. Also note that the pink background has been bounced up into the bumpers of the two cars that are sitting on it. It ties them together and gives a reason for the background to be there in the first place.
